MUN Tour
We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be able to see what MUN was like. Although it was virtual, we got to know where the different buildings were around campus, what kind of programs MUN offers, different activities you can get involved in, as well as sports.
July 21, 2021 – Trivia Night
WISE SSEP invited WISE US to help host our trivia night. The theme was Y2K (The 2000s). We were pleasantly surprised by the participant’s knowledge of the 2000s. It was a great night to start off our social events for the summer.

CNA Tour
Along with our MUN Tour, we also got a tour of The College of the North Atlantic. Getting to know what kind of courses they offer, different activities we could do, and the environment of the school.

Grenfell Campus Tour
The students attended a presentation on Grenfell Campus and all it has to offer provided by Peter Smith, a Student Recruitment Officer. Students got to learn about all the programs offered at the Grenfell Campus, what living on campus looks like, and all the Corner Brook and surrounding area has to offer! Thank you to Peter for the wonderful presentation.

Email Etiquette & Resume Builder
The students had the opportunity to be able to learn how to send professional emails, how to properly write an email, as well as learning how to build a strong resume.

Panel with Undergrads & Working Professional
Students had the opportunity to be able to listen and learn from Undergraduate Students. They spoke about there programs, admission process, as well as what they do. Having students from different science backgrounds, from engineering, pharmacy, and nursing. Along with that, the students also got to learn about those in working profession, speaking about their careers, and how they got to where they are now.

Husky Day
This year on Husky Day, students were joined by workers from Husky. Getting to learn about how they got to where they are now, what career paths they took, what it’s like to work for Husky. Students also got to learn about the Sea Rose, which is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel (FPSO). How they found where to drill and so much more.
